Hematoxylin (Delafield's)is used as staining solution for Blood films for spirochaetes, Protozoa and other purpose.This schedule allows each stain to be individually, and independently, controlled at the will of the operator. Use of expired hematoxylin impacts staining intensity, i.e., hematoxylin staining intensity decreased as the age of the expired reagents increased.
